Meet Our Founder


 

Dr. Boro is an instructional practice and school culture expert with 20 years of experience in education. As a National Board Certified Teacher (NCBT), former school administrator, and education consultant she lends expertise in school design and management. Dr. Boro is a Founding Board Member at Valiente College Preparatory Charter School serving as Board Secretary and Chair of the Academic Accountability Committee. A Teach for America Alumni (LA, ‘02) she proudly worked as a classroom teacher for over eight years; teaching students in both traditional public and charter public schools. After leaving the classroom, Dr. Boro transitioned into leadership at Valor Academy Charter School as the Founding Director of Curriculum and Instruction. She is the recipient of numerous prizes and honors for her work as an educator, including The Los Angeles Lakers Principal of the Month Award, The NAACP Meritorious Woman of the Year in Education Award, and The LAUSD Local Hero in Education Award. 

Dr. Boro is a dynamic and effective leader. Her commitment to building your legacy in education and creating excellent outcomes for leaders, teachers, parents, and students is steadfast. When not inspiring others to create their best education experiences, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her amazing husband Noah and their two awesome children Nathalie and Benjamin.

Dr. Boro has a Professional Clear Teaching Credential and a California Clear Tier II Administrative Credential. She holds degrees from Spelman College (BA, '02), Loyola Marymount University (MA, '04), and Pepperdine University (MS, '10) and (Ed.D., '15).
